Reporting to the Delivery Manager, The Lab Services Program Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of project teams for external clients, ensuring that all projects meet their cost, quality and compliance requirements. Success in this role requires expertise in delivering technology and business solutions and involves customer interaction and requires strong technical, organizational, communication, leadership, and client relationship skills to deliver on client commitments in accordance with the Master Services Agreement (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW).

Essential Functions

Responsible for project management of assigned Lab Services projects, including, but not limited to:

  • Oversight and responsibility for project performance and profitability, resource allocation, scheduling, customer issue resolution and overall client satisfaction.
  • Project oversight, budgeting, and invoice management
  • Quarterly reviews and process improvement
  • Service reporting, including deliverables
  • Analyze project risk assessments, mitigation plan and implement opportunities

  • Responsible for oversight of resources working on projects.
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance issues, performance feedback, review of metrics.
  • Focus on maintaining/improving retention through career development and mentoring.

  • Lead strategic business discussions evaluating customer needs, challenges, capabilities
  • Aid in the creation of the SOW, RACI, and review process as well as final execution with client
  • Maintain active communication with clients and internal stakeholders to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.

  • Work with Business Development team and Talent Acquisition to assist in the Business Acquisition/Execution Process (BAP/BEP).
  • Attend gate review meetings on new projects (as needed)
  • Support the development of proposals, presentations and provide technical input as needed
  • Saturation and development of relationships in collaboration with Business Development (BD) for future opportunities with customers
  • Support internal partners on strategy development with accounts, follow up conference calls, qualification of business needs and positions.

Supervisory or Management Responsibilities:
  • Management of PPCs and potential fulltime employees
  • Travel- 25-50% depending on building relationships with customers: Visit customers once a month, quarterly reviews, meetings with business development, execution for our business execution process (BEP)

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required; science field strongly preferred
  • 2+ years proven project management experience preferred
  • Familiar with applicable regulatory requirements depend on clients' environment.
