Job Summary



EASi is hiring an Engineering Group Manager who is a subject matter expert within automotive engineering for a permanent leadership role within our Troy engineering center.

The Group Manager is responsible for solutioning EASi managed projects and developing and managing employees and resources. The Group Manager will develop and manage in-house teams skilled in Product Engineering competency areas, allocate resources to projects based on utilization and define technology road maps for future growth and expansion. This role will serve as an escalation point for technical, customer and personnel issues that may arise within their assigned competency. The Group Leader will be responsible for the quality and timeliness of the deliverable for assigned competency and will ensure compliance to established processes while executing within the Business Execution Process (BEP).

Additionally, the Group Leader interfaces with customers at multiple levels, including the executive level when partnering with EASi business development to support/develop project scope/statements of work. This role requires proven technical expertise combined with business acumen to deliver technical and business solutions that improve productivity and lower overall engagement costs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline) combined with professional experience in system and component level design and engineering development.
  • Proven Subject Matter Expertise in mechanical product development processes including DFMA, DFMEA and DVP&R techniques.
  • Experience in Automotive/Transpiration industry is required. Experience in Engineering service industry is a plus.
  • Proven capabilities in Plastics, Sheetmetal and castings design & manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience in working with industry standard CAD packages (Any Catia/NX/Solidworks/Creo etc.)
  • Proven technical capabilities in developing solutions to engineering problems (SOW development), managing deliverables/customer expectations and compliance to quality processes
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing engineering teams including training, development, mentorship and day-to-day responsibility.
  • Proven written, oral and presentation skills and the ability to conduct meetings with high-level decision makers
  • Ability to effectively communicate and partner across globally distributed cross-functional teams and roles in virtual environment
  • Ability to travel when needed, up to 10 - 20 %
