Job Summary



EASi is hiring a Software Quality Engineer for a permanent role working in our Troy, MI office. This individual is a key member of EASi's Embedded & Software Systems Practice Team. The Software Quality Engineer will be responsible for the Quality and Configuration of all work products developed in EASi's Engineering Centers. Ideal candidates possess the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization in order to understand and articulate complex business and technical problems, their corresponding solutions, overcome objections and explain the compelling benefits of employing EASi's solutions.

Essential Functions:
  • Review and provide quality assurance for software deliverables prior to submission; maintain quality results by utilizing templates, following standards, ect.
  • Provide technical documentation outlining quality processes, notes, and requirement issues.
  • Partner and communicate with EASi Project Leaders to discuss and implement quality assurance steps within project lifecycles
  • Manage the process of Tool Standardization for Software & Hardware Development and Configuration Management (CM) across all EASi Design Centers. Will be responsible for selection of the toolchains, installation management while working with ISG, Updates and user maintenance.
  • Responsible for all project folders structures. Will define CM folders within the CM tool and police the compliance for all projects.
  • Create User accounts, folders for projects in CM tool, Project Management tool and Problem Tracking Tools.
  • Create and execute Checklists on a monthly audit basis for all in-house projects to verify compliance to Business Execution Process (BEP).
  • Verify that all Deliverables are meeting project quality standards.
  • Gather metrics and create dashboards for BEP activities tracking.
  • Please note this role does not involve providing manual/automated testing support
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
  • BSEE/CE/CS required. MSEE/CE/CS is a plus.
  • Strong technical writing skills to effectively document technical issues, content and quality procedures
  • Prior experience developing software quality process/procedures outside of hands-on testing preferred
  • Previous CMMI experience (process focused) preferred
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Toolchain with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle and development processes.
  • Knowledge of AGILE/SCRUM.
  • Strong presentation, solution selling, written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem solving, decision making, and negotiating skills
  • Team player with ability to work in a highly cross-functional and virtual environment
  • High level of personal character and integrity
  • Proficient in PC applications such as MS Office, Visio, etc.
